Four weeks before Christmas, in the darkest time of the year, Waldorf schools all over the world celebrate Advent with a quiet and moving ceremony.

A spiral of evergreen branches is laid on the floor of a darkened room, with a single candle lit in the center, which symbolizes light and life amid the dead of winter. Then, accompanied by quiet music and songs, children would journey inward one by one, lighting their candles at the center and placing them along the path to illuminate it for those who follow.

We welcome members of the public to come experience this unique element of our school life. Please kindly register so that we can manage the proceedings with order. Children will enter the spiral one by one; adults may enter individually after all children are done.

This event is FREE for public

However, we would very much appreciate any donations to help cover our costs and bring more educational talks and experiences to the local community.
